Modern Elegance with House of Harvey Co.

We talked with Event Stylist Gretel, from House of Harvey Co about the inspiration behind this styled wedding shoot at Byron Bay, the two stunning looks created and got the inside info on the details of the design.

Q: Can you briefly describe your business, your style and the services you provide?

A: House of Harvey co. is a one stop shop for all types of Events. We provide a range of event services such as Catering, Bar Service, Event Hire & Styling. Our brand style is modern, clean and simplistic, yet effortlessly elegant.

Q: What was your inspiration and vision behind the styling for this shoot?
A: We had a range of looks to execute on this shoot. We wanted to demonstrate versatility amongst our range, and the different types of tablescapes that could be created. One style was very feminine and elegant, with very pink tones, peach and nude candles and soft textures. Another look we also did was a more monochrome setting, with dark candles, cutlery and plates, matched with crystal cut glassware, softened with silk underlays for each plate.

Q: Can you tell us about why you choose to work with our products and these specific candle colours from our range?
A: We have used a number of different brands in the past, but no candles come off our glass cylinders like the Hueseeka candles do. The range is full of so many different shade variants, which really helps us with bringing a particular look to life. We love to use candles as a way to incorporate colour and really bring our theme to life with each table setting. Coloured candles will always help us achieve this. We chose very muted colours, the nude, peach and latte for the more feminine setting, and stuck to black pillar candles and tapers for the more monochrome setting.

Q: Tell us about the key elements of this shoot and how it came about?

A: The key elements of this shoot were featuring our range of tableware. We were fortunate enough to shoot at Temple Farm House in Nashua, so we didn't really need to do much to the space, but set the table. We were pretty rushed to get it done, as it was in between two lock downs last year, so as much as we would've loved to have included a florist and stationery designer to really elevate the content created, we very much did a DIY job. Our photographer was Grace Elizabeth Images.
