Candlelit Gin Parlour Wedding with Magnolia Studios

We talked with Event Stylist Marisha, from Magnolia Studios about the inspiration behind this Gin Parlour styled shoot and discussed some of the details of the day.

Q: What inspired this shoot?

A: The inspiration for the gin parlour shoot came purely from the unique character of the venue. From the rich colour palette, to the iconic bar, the eclectic styling and the urban setting of the Miami Marketta, it inspired the fusion of urban boho meets romantic elegance.

Q: What role did Hueseeka play in the success of this shoot?

A: The key to this shoot was creating a team of amazing vendors who embodied that mix of edgy urban romance who all brought their A game. Working with Leesh from Little Green Leaf throughout the planning process really helped in keeping the look tight and allowed for the detail elements to feature.

The candles played a major part in setting the mood of this shoot, the completely indoor setting was greatly enhanced through the gorgeous candle light, from the clusters on the floor of the ceremony space, to the individual tapers on the piano to feature groupings on the reception table. The selection of pillars, tapers and cone candles provided interest in shape, scale and colour to each location with the cone candles giving a contemporary urban edge to the look.

The huge range of candle colours, shapes and sizes at Hueseeka allows me, as a stylist, to create exactly the look I am after to suit any setting. The quality is always impeccable, which is essential as cleaning wax out of 100 candle holders is a stylist worst nightmare!
