Care Instructions - House Warming Dinner Party Bundle

Candles

  • Dust Removal: Your candles may develop a light layer of dust, known as "bloom," due to the natural waxes and dyes. Simply wipe the candles with a soft cloth to restore their appearance.
  • Wick Trimming: Trim the wick to 5mm before each lighting.
  • Burning Surface: Always burn candles on a flat, level surface.
  • Holder Use: Use an appropriate holder to protect surfaces and linens.
  • Foreign Materials: Keep the candle free of any foreign materials.
  • Extinguishing Flame: Use an appropriate tool to extinguish the flame. Extinguish when the candle is at least 2cm from the holder or base to prevent injury or property damage.
  • Burn Time: Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Supervision and Surface: Always burn the candle within sight and on a heat-resistant surface.
  • Children and Pets: Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Drafts and Vibrations: Keep away from drafts, vents, and vibrations to avoid dripping and compromising the burn time.
  • Handling: Do not move the candle when lit or when the wax is liquid.
  • Fire Hazards: Never burn a candle near anything that can catch fire.
  • Candle Spacing: For optimal performance, do not place candles too close together. Position them at least 10 cm apart to prevent overheating and excessive dripping or pooling.
  • Glassware: Adding candles into glassware, such as a glass cylinder or sleeve, affects burn time due to the added heat and trapped hot air. Burning a candle in too small glassware may cause rapid burning, dripping, or pooling.
  • Fluted Candles: Fluted candles are not suitable for use in glass cylinders. Use them on a pillar plate instead.
  • Storage: Store candles in a cool, dark space, out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources to avoid fading, warping, or melting.

Hue Ceramics Candle Holders

  • Flame Proximity: Do not allow flames within 2 cm of or to directly touch the holder as this may result in damaging the holder.
  • Washing: Dishwasher Safe. Please ensure candle holders are free of wax prior to placing in the dishwasher.
  • Water Temperature: Do not clean with hot or boiling water.
  • Soaking: Do not soak.
  • Scrubbing: Do not scrub.
  • Candle Removal: Gently twist candles to remove them from holders to avoid snapping the base of the candle.
      • If the base of the candle gets stuck in the holder, carefully use a heat gun or hair dryer to melt the wax and enable the candle to slide out.
      • Please exercise caution to avoid overheating the wax or holder. Take appropriate safety measures to prevent burns and ensure a safe removal process.
  • Wax Removal: Do not use sharp instruments such as a knife to remove wax from holders as this can result in scratching.
  • Cleaning Frequency: We suggest cleaning all candle holders after use to avoid wax seeping into the material.
  • Drying: Dry completely before storing.
